Training background

Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Peking Union Medical College Hospital; Chief Physician and Professor in the Department of Gastroenterology; Doctoral Supervisor; Expert Reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China; Reviewer for the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission. He has long been engaged in clinical and translational research on complex, critical, and severe gastrointestinal diseases, with expertise in molecular diagnostics and medical device development. He holds 22 authorized invention patents and 18 authorized utility model patents, many of which have been successfully commercialized. He has led eight national and provincial/ministerial-level scientific research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation. He has published over 180 papers as first or corresponding author, with an H-index of 24. With extensive clinical experience, he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex, critical, and rare gastrointestinal disorders; he has published over 70 case reports and established a PUMCH-characteristic diagnostic and therapeutic thinking system, widely promoted across China. He is editor-in-chief or chief translator of six professional monographs (one awarded the 2013 National Health Industry Outstanding Bestseller Award). He has received honors including "Young Professional Role Model in the National Health System," "China's Excellent Doctor," "Beijing Higher Education Young Teaching Master," "Outstanding Mentor in National Standardized Residency Training," and "PUMCH Outstanding Youth." In 2021, he won the First Prize for Medical Research Innovation from the Chinese Research Hospital Association. In 2022, he was selected as one of the "Top Ten Clinical Researchers in China's Gastroenterology Field."
